Safety & Security

Springhill makes your child's safety a priority

At Springhill, child safety and security is as important as a child's on-going learning. Formal policies and procedures are documented, implemented and practiced to ensure a secure and safe learning environment. Here are a few examples:

  • There is a secure and dedicated entrance to Springhill Community Preschool. The door to Springhill is permanently locked and so to gain access, visitors must ring a doorbell. The door is then met by a staff member who assesses the visitor and grants access accordingly.
  • A child is only dismissed from class and given to a guardian by a teacher who can visually see and qualify a child's guardian. Whether a child is supervised in a classroom or on the playground, children are always dismissed in a consistent and organized manner.
  • It's only natural that children experience a few bumps and bruises now and again when playing. In the event of such an event, every incident is documented and the parent is notified.
  • Additional policies are outlined in the case of fire or lock downs.
If you're interested in more information regarding the safety & security of your child, contact Springhill using the online contact form or review the Parent Handbook.
