2016/17 Registration Information
Registration for the 2016/17 school year will open for alumni families on January 18. For new families, registration will open on February 1 and will close on April 1 at which point a lottery for spots will take place to determine which families will receive a spot. Current and alumni families will also have until April 1 to register however they will be given priority and will not be required to participate in the lottery. Families will be contacted by mid April regarding whether they were rewarded a spot or place on our wait list. We will continue to take registrations after April 1st however, they will be processed on a first come first serve basis.
2015/16 Registration Information
We are currently taking registrations on a first come, first served basis for the 2015/16 school year. Our two year old classes are full but have short wait lists. Our three year old classes have room on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Our Tuesday afternoon 3/4 science class has spots. Our four year old class has spots on Monday and Friday afternoons. Our Wednesday afternoon four year old class is full but has no wait list. Please note that this information can change quickly and may not always be up to date.
General Registration Information
Registration forms must be completed online and submitted along with a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee. The registration fee can be paid online using paypal or a credit card.
At Springhill we offer flexible enrolment. Out of the classes your child is eligible for, you will have the opportunity to choose which days your child will attend. For example, in the two year old class, you may choose to enroll your child on Monday mornings, Wednesday mornings, Friday mornings or a combination of any of those.

In lieu of fundraising, the parents of Springhill Community Preschool have decided on a fundraising fee. The fee per child is $300.00 per year divided into two payments (Oct/Feb). Fundraising fees will be prorated if a child starts part way through the year. Fundraising fees are not refunded once cashed (ie after October 1 or February 1).
Since Springhill is a co-operative, parents are essential to the operation of the preschool. Although there are no duty days, parents are required to:
- Attend three General Meetings (usually September, January and June).
- Fulfill a volunteer position
- Participate in two cleaning bees per year

Springhill Community Preschool subsidies are available through the Alberta Government for families who need financial assistance. Please visit the Alberta Children and Youth Services website for more information.
