How to Register

Registration in the Fall 2003 program is now open.  We currently have limited room in our 3-year-old and 4/5 year-old programs.  We have a lengthy waitlist for our 2-year-old program, but parents may ask to be placed on it if they wish.  Parents wishing to register their child are asked leave a voice message for our Registrar, Samantha Parks, by calling 433-4224 or via  .  Your child cannot attend class until Samantha has received all of the necessary cheques, reviewed your registration form and confirmed which sessions are available.  Registration forms are available on the bulletin board in the hallway outside our classroom.  We hope to have the forms available online in the near future.

We encourage all interested parents to arrange a visit to our school by making an appointment with our Registrar. Drop-in visits are welcome, but please understand that staff cannot give tours and answer questions during class time.  During a visit, parents are welcome to observe the classroom dynamic but they are responsible for supervising their own child(ren).

In addition to a fully-completed registration form, the following is a list of the post-dated cheques that we must receive before your child can be considered officially registered (one set of cheques per family).  (Only a completed registration package and the non-refundable registration fee are required in order to be placed on our waitlist.)  Please make your cheques payable to SPRINGHILL JR. KINDERGARTEN (we have a stamp at the school, if you care to use it) and ensure the correct year for cheques dated in 2004:

• one $25.00 non-refundable registration fee, with the current date;

• monthly fees, post-dated the 1st of each month (please ensure the correct year is used from January on), except September's fees post-dated August 1st, 2003 and October's fees post-dated September 15th, 2003.
  1 class     /week      $  55/month,
  2 classes/week       $100/month,
  3 classes/week       $140/month,
  4 classes/week       $175/month,
  5 classes/week       $205/month,
  6 classes/week       $230/month,
  7 classes/week       $250/month,
  8+ classes/week     $35/class/month;

• two $50.00 cheques, post-dated January 1st, 2004 and June 1st, 2004 (to be cashed only if cleaning parties are not attended);

• one $100.00 fundraising donation cheque, post-dated October 15th, 2003.  These donations are tax deductible;

• one $250.00 fundraising deposit cheque, post-dated March 15th, 2004 (to be cashed only if casino commitments are not met).

Withdrawals

If a place for a child is reserved before school commences in September, any cancellation must be made before August 1st to ensure the return of September's fees.  If no notice of withdrawal is given before August 1st, the cheque for September's fees will be cashed and these are not refundable.  Once school commences, the Registrar must be notified at least one month in advance of withdrawal from the program.  Should this withdrawal be mid-month, the next month's fees will be cashed and a portion refunded.  (For example, if your child is withdrawn during the month of September, the cheque for October's fees will be cashed and a portion will be refunded).  Your child may attend classes during the notice period. If a child is withdrawn at anytime before October 15th, the fundraising donation cheque will be returned as well.
