Springhill Preschool is governed by an executive board made up of the parents whose children attend Springhill. Our highly qualified teachers develop and carry out the learning curriculum.
Springhill is fortunate and proud to have great teachers and staff who love being with children, and take pride in watching them learn and see them grow. Our full-time staff includes:
Shortly after graduating from Grant MacEwan University, Jennifer began working in her field and brings 11 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings including day-care, after school care, community resource outreach teams, preschool, and as a director of early learning and child care. She is the past president and current vice president of the Northern Alberta Preschool Teachers Association and has been a presenter and guest speaker for various conferences throughout the years.
Jennifer believes loving children is a priority; children need love to grow and families need support and community involvement. It is her goal to inspire staff, children, and their families to work together positively with one common goal – to love and support one another and to provide excellence in Early Education.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Kelly completed a Medical Office Diploma with Honors in 2004. It was in 2008 when the opportunity to work with children at the South Shore Waldorf School arose and she first took on the role of After School Care Coordinator and then was promoted to Kindergarten Assistant. From 2008-2014, Kelly has been involved with the South Shore Waldorf board and various other committees.
Learning about Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the philosophies of a Waldorf education and "learning through play" deepened Kelly's love for children. She is very excited to further her skills and knowledge in ECE and to nurture and inspire the children here at Springhill Community Preschool.
In addition to the full-time staff, Springhill is able to offer enrolled children more one-on-one attention through the MacEwan University Early Learning and Child Care practicum program. Springhill brings these post-secondary students into the classroom to interact with children under the supervision of the full-time staff. These educators work hard to bring a smile to every child's face.
Pam McTavish, Intellidance®
Pamela has been involved with movement and music from a young age. She grew up being trained in jazz, tap and modern dance. As an adult, Pamela explored African, contemporary and hip-hop dance.
Pamela also has a passion for music, having received her Bachelor of Music Therapy from Eastern Michigan University, and practiced as a licensed music therapist for 10 years. In that role, Pamela also had the opportunity to share her love of movement with adults and children with developmental disabilities.
In 2012, Pamela received her Intellidance® certification. She now enjoys bringing age appropriate, concept-based creative movement and music to children ages five and under. She also enjoys sharing her love of dance at home with her young son.

In his education, he realized the increasing awareness of the need for business acumen in health care and decided to pursue a concurrent MBA degree. He looks forward to applying those skills towards helping to continue our operational success. When given the chance, you may find Anson playing the guitar or dabbling in some music production outside of his academic duties and parenting

About 4 years ago, Brenda and her husband Armando moved to Edmonton, Canada from Guadalajara, Mexico where they were both born and raised. Brenda is working on gaining more confidence with her grasp of the English language. When Luca was born she switched careers to become a full time mom of a busy and happy little boy. The secretary position with the Springhill parent board provides her with the opportunity to be more involved in the decision making process when it comes to Luca's preschool experience.
Volunteer Coordinator – Alexandria Sneath
Alexandria is excited to have her son attend Springhill Community Preschool for his second year, joining the three-year-old program. The program had an incredible impact during his first year and upon returning she knew that filling a position on the board would be a way to give back. Alexandria and her husband run multiple businesses in the Edmonton area, ranging from Construction to Online Media Design. Though busy, their little one is their priority and helping the entire team at the preschool was a perfect fit when it came to choosing a way to volunteer their time.
Event Coordinator – Loveneet Tobin
